·
Favouritism
by teachers is unjust and demotivates learners.
·
Social
and political contexts impact directly on learners; Students used by teachers
as pawns, encouraging them to strike in order to gain the attention of the
education department, as a desperate measure to combat corruption and fraud at
schools. The corruption being the poor attendance by specific teachers and head
of department within the school.
·
Students
who live with their grandparents are not sufficiently disciplined and get
involved with drugs and behave badly, causing them to drop out of school. This is
a disruptive element which also leads other students astray.
·
Favouritism
and racism by teachers, the injustice of these attitudes causing students to
drop out and leave school.
·
Poverty
making education inaccessible and unobtainable.
